Press Statement;
Ubisoft announces the finale of the greatest adventure series of all times: Myst V: End of Ages
Cyan Worlds developes the last chapter of the Myst-franchise
D?sseldorf, 12th of January 2005 ? Ubisoft, one of the biggest publisher and developer of computer- and videogames worldwide, announced today, that Cyan Worlds, Inc. ? the creators of the praised and best-sold Myst-licence ? work on the creation (?) of the final adventure of the series. Myst V: End of Ages will be released end of 2005 for PC and Mac in hybrid version. Rand Miller, Co-creator of Myst and founder of Cyan Worlds, leaded the Developer-team based in Spokane at its work on the final episode, which solves and completes the story of Myst by a deep(?) and dramatic experience.
“Myst is more than a game, because it is more an experience and in many cases a way of life”, says Laurent Detoc, president of Ubisoft North America.
“Cyan Worlds works at the last chapter of the series, which is a success story(?) from financial and critics point of view. We are sure, that Myst V: End of Ages will stay in the minds of the fans as a crowning finish of the series.”The last chapter continues exatly there, where the original Myst* ended. The player faces the challenge and responsibility to rebuild the lost empire of the D?ni ? an ancient civilisation, which developed over thousands of years and then felt prey to a big catastrophe. Like the previous parts of the series, Myst V: End of Ages raises the graphical quality and detail-richness of its worlds in a intriguing (?) 3D-environment. To offer a worthy conclusion of the Myst-series, Cyan creates a unique mix of adventure-elemente, puzzles, story and game-innovations.
“Myst V:End of Ages tells the Myst-story to its end, and the book of ages of Myst closes”, says Rand Miller, CEO of Cyan Worlds. “We combine the successfull with the new: new in view of the development in the field of Interface and technology adds with the old virtues (?) of the series, like the easy discovery of dreamlike worlds.”
Further details and informations will be announced at a later time.

D’ni League of Activites to Close
From Maztec;
In light of recent events, lack of personal time, and waning interest, the D’ni League of Activities (D’LA) has decided to let its doors close. The registration on dniactivities.org expires on January 9th. If anyone wishes to pick up the torch and carry it on, they are more than welcome to. All reasonable dniactivities.org site resources will be passed on to the new registrant upon request. If there is sufficient interest an earlier transfer can be made. If you are interested in taking over the D’LA please contact me (maztec) before January 9th, with an explanation regarding why you would like to take over the organization.
Finally, I would like to apologize to everyone for any false hopes I may have created regarding the D’LA. I had a lot of plans for it, but not enoguh personal time and too many volunteers were intimidated by other organizations. Good luck in your future endeavors and a personal thank you and blessed rest to one of the D’LA’s earliest helpers, Pepsi.”
