Well we are planning another upgrade to the site which we have called version 19, although its on build 5 of said version due to the changes to colouring and a few layout issues we have come across.
What does Version 19 bring with it? Well it brings both good things and bad things;
The Site
- Coding changed from HTML and tables to a valid XHTML and CSS layout, file size and load rate reduced.
- Colour scheme changed to freshen the site up
- New gallery software is being implemented
- New smoother navigation implemented
News Section
- SSI plus has been removed and a blog format system has been set up, this will provide a better RSS feed, neater archives, and easier posting format for the admin
- The Firemarble: We are considering providing a weekly podcast that rounds up the weeks news for people to download.
Games Sections
- Games sections have received a rewrite of information for story, characters, easter eggs and ages.
- Ages section added, this will have information about the Ages in the games and will be expanded upon as time progresses.
- Walkthroughs have been improved and added upon, it is now easier to find what you are looking for.
- Maps section has returned, maps are currently being worked upon.
- Reference links added to information
Novels Section
- Novel’s section is being re-organised, information re-written and book summeries added
The Workshop Section
- Aside from the site upgrade no further changes to this section is being made
Forums Section
- Forum software upgraded, future upgrade planned depending on finance
- Logs & Transcripts Forum added, we aim to collect all the logs/transcripts of conversations of Cyan employee’s and DRC members into one place for easy referencing.
FAQ

Store
- Store is now viewable by country; France, UK, US and Germany. Australia section being planned.
Downloads
- Downloads section has been split up into subsections to make what you want to find easier and faster.
Specials
- Specials section has remained pretty much untouched aside from the overall site upgrade.
Legal Section
- Legal page has been re-written and updated
Contact Section
- Contact section has been updated, contact form has been added as well as contact details for both site admin’s, Tweek and Kehra.
New Sections (We have a few new sections to be added)
- Blog: in order to better communicate with the community and to give you peeks at what we have planned here at DJC. We have set up a site blog to keep you up to date with the sites going ons.
- Donations: Due to the issues we have had recently with the forum we wish to upgrade them, however due to financial constraints this is not possible without help from the community. So for those of you who have contacted us with a desire to help fund the site we have set up a donations page for you to do so, thank you.
- Site History: This section will have some information on the sites history as well as screenshots of the past versions for those of you in the community that are interested in such things.
- Events Section: We have been planning an event’s section which will host information about game events (Uru Live), contests and community meetings.
So whats the bad things?
Well due to the reshuffling of pages, renaming of sections (helps to get better search results for potential visitors) and what not some of the old url’s will no longer work, for example the url for the myst 3 section on DJC is currently: http://dnijazzclub.com/exile/exile.php
Now this isn’t very descriptive when it comes to search engines like google. So we have renamed the section and the new url would be: http://dnijazzclub.com/myst3/
Bad form we know but it was necessary not just because of search results, but back end navigation of the servers has been made easier, not to mention the urls have been tidied up and are not as long (some still are but they are more descriptive however).
