Myst for the PSP

It would seem that Myst is being ported to the Playstation Portable (PSP)

November 22, 2005 – Sega will be bringing one of adventure gaming’s classic titles to the PSP, the latest issue of Famitsu reveals. Myst is currently in development for the portable format at Hoplite Research and will be published by Sega in Japan in March of next year.

Details are few and far between at the moment but you can check what information there is at the following:

Myst V End of Ages Soundtrack

As it turned out the collector edition of Myst V End of Ages (Europe Edition) did not infact contain the full soundtrack as ubi had promised but instead a dvd with 7 mp3’s on. This however was not the case for the Limited Edition (USA version) which came with the full soundtrack (abit poorly packaged).

In response to the soundtrack grumbles Tim Larkin had this to say:

I can’t answer for Ubi’s marketing decisions, but just so you know, Cyan will be releasing the full soundtrack seperately.
We are currently waiting for our copies to show up. As soon as they do, we’ll announce a release date. Should be soon.
Thanks for your patience.

Offical Statement About Cyan from Ubisoft

From Ubisoft;

For the past 4 years Ubisoft has been proud to work with Cyan Worlds on the Myst brand, and we are saddened by the decision to close the doors of their games production unit. While this event is a sad day for Myst fans and gamers everywhere, it does not in any way affect the upcoming launch of Myst V: End of Ages which is already in manufacturing at this time. Ubisoft is continuing full steam ahead with the launch of Myst V: End of Ages, the Grand Finale of the Greatest Adventure Game of all time.

While the production unit has been disbanded, Cyan will continue as a company, pursuing new endeavors for the future. In the next few weeks, Cyan is expecting to provide more information about their plans. Other than this, Ubisoft has no additional information about Cyan or their future plans.
